Membership Information

Studio Rental and Membership information:

Paper Circle, a nonprofit organization serving southeast Ohio, is offering a new service for artists who are working in paper, printmaking or book binding. We will provide access to space and equipment in our studio, access to flat file storage, workshops printers and scanner and qualified staff to assess. Please see details below for a list of available equipment by discipline. Artist members will be invited to participate in an annual member’s exhibition. TBA

To participate, the artist will need to join Paper Circle at any one of the three membership levels: Artist, Friend, or Donor. Members will have reserved access to the studio and equipment during operating hours. Please note that we are following Covid-19 guidelines, and require a mask at all times when in studio.  Members will be able to sign up on the genius app.

Benefits: 10% discount on fees for classes and workshops, scanning printing, flat file storage and store.

Memberships can be paid monthly or annually.


Fees and hours      

Studio Space with use of Equipment

Monday through Saturday,11am to 3pm or by appointment

(public holidays also excluded)

Daily, four hour blocks $15.00

Monthly, 60 hours $100.00


Flat File Storage Fees

$60.00 for 6 months. 

Afterwards, the artist has 30 days to remove all stored items. Any items left over after 30 days become the property of Paper Circle.


Training on all equipment is required before starting, as well a regular review of safety practices, and cleaning of space. Waiver must be signed and on file.


Available equipment:


Silk screens, set up- clamps, squeegee spray booth, darkroom, reclaiming supplies, basic tools, exposure unit.

Etching Press, Takach Etching Press 2’ X 4’, table tops, with glass, hot plate, plexiglass drying rack squeeze, rollers, registration pins.

Paper Making

David Reina beater (used only by the trained staff), molds & deckles, felts & pellons, tubs, cooker, squeeze bottles for pulp painting, stencils, pulp sprayer, vacuum table, three sugeta, hydraulic lift press 2’ x 3’ 


Book Binding

Book leather, book board, needles, wax, awl, felts, bone folder, Japanese hole punch, hole punch, needle nose pliers and a 10” X 12” book press.


Extensive library available for members to use in house, on paper making, marbling, printing, book binding, momigami and much more.


Materials Available for Purchase in studio

  • Abaca, $5.00 pulp ball; BYO container, preferably with lid

  • Book Board, 8 x 10 $2.00, Book Leather 8 x 10 $7.00 (random sizes priced upon request)

  • Caustic Solution, $4.00 per scoop; BYO container, preferably with lid

  • Epson ink jet printing 8.5 x 11, $2.00 per copy

  • HP laser printer 11 x 14, $3.00 per copy

  • Neutral pH adhesive $5.00 per scoop, BYO small container with lid

  • Pigments, $4.50 per scoop; BYO container, preferably with lid

  • Silk screens emulsion $5.00 DIY, or $10.00 prep by staff

  • Stand 4” roll of newsprint, $3.00 per linear foot

  • Clean up supplies and paper products
