The Yellow Crownbeard is a perennial flower native to the central and eastern United States. It can survive in many extreme conditions, and is remarkably resistant to drought. It self-seeds, and flowers with fuzzy yellow petals in late summer and early fall. This species of flower is often found alongside gravel roads and railroad tracks.
